pretty soon (tuesday morning) i'm flying back to germany and we're going to move into a new apartment. it was our first choice and Bastian and i were on skype when he got the phone call from the landlady. we're extremely excited to have our own little place. i just remembered that we have a balcony. it's a teeny tiny balcony with only enough room for two people sitting across each other with a little table in between. of course that teeny tiny table will come in handy when we want to drink tea but we've always sat side by side so i'm not sure we'll make much use of it.

also i'm tired of thinking about planning wedding things. i think it's only my mood. tom and i went out last night and today i'm groggy and tired.

being an ocean away from someone, you really start missing the little things, even how that other person snores.

last weekend my friend brittany visited me. she lives in frankfurt as an au pair and made the trek back (she'd lived there in 2008 while we did our tefl internship) to neustadt!

while the mister and i were at an apartment appointment and doing laundry, brittany walked around neustadt and snapped some pics.

we met on königsbrückestraße and walked down hauptstraße to altstadt.

we also tried some fashions at h&m.

we met up with bertrand and had dinner at a vietnamese restaurant, then went to rosi's formerly known as flower power for some dancing.

we watched a very big man with plastic maracas, black rings drawn around his eyes and purple eyelashes sing in a rockabilly-electronica-dance-folk-mix. if you can imagine that.
